About Cecilia

Helping families plan aheadwith care & peace of mind

I’m Cecilia. My role is to listen, explain the available choices in simple terms and help your family arrange a suitable visit—without pressure.

My journey began in healthcare, where I worked as a hospital nurse and had the privilege of working closely with palliative and hospice care.

Through those years, I witnessed not only the medical side of life’s final journey, but also the emotional challenges faced by patients and their families. It taught me the importance of dignity, compassion, preparation and peace of mind.

Today, I bring that same care and understanding into legacy and afterlife planning, helping individuals and families make important arrangements before the need arises.

My role is not simply to introduce a service, but to listen, explain the options and help families make informed decisions at their own pace.

Whether you are planning for yourself, your parents or simply wish to understand more about Nirvana’s columbarium and funeral services, I am here to guide you with sensitivity and respect.

Questions, answered

It’s alright to ask.

Legacy planning can feel unfamiliar. We can begin with a simple, private conversation.

Do I need to decide during the visit?

No. A visit lets you understand the locations and options. You may take time to discuss them with your family.

Can I plan ahead without an immediate need?

Yes. Pre-planning allows decisions to be made calmly, with time to understand preferences, arrangements and budget.

Are payment plans or promotions available?

Availability, pricing, instalment arrangements and promotions can change. Current details will be confirmed during consultation.

Can you arrange a site visit?

Yes. Cecilia can help identify a suitable location and coordinate an appointment for your family.

What should I prepare for a pre-planning discussion?

Think about your preferred faith or ceremony, burial or cremation, wake location and duration, casket or urn preferences, niche location and comfortable budget. Family members are encouraged to be part of the conversation.

Which important documents should my family keep together?

Keep identification, relevant medical records, prescribed-medication lists, hospital discharge information, insurance details, your will and key contact information in one clearly labelled and secure place. Tell a trusted family member where it is kept.

What should a family do immediately after a death?

The steps depend on whether the death occurs in a hospital, at home or overseas. Contact the attending medical team or the relevant Singapore authorities first, then call a funeral service provider for guidance on collection, permits and funeral arrangements.

How do we choose between burial and cremation?

Consider the wishes of the deceased, religious beliefs, family traditions, available locations, long-term visitation and budget. Cremation also requires a decision on the urn and final resting place.

How should we choose a columbarium niche?

Compare location, accessibility, atmosphere, niche level and direction, single or double capacity, maintenance arrangements and total cost. A personal site visit is recommended before making a final selection.

What usually affects the total funeral cost?

The main factors include wake duration and venue, religious rites, casket or urn choice, altar and floral setup, catering, transport, procession and any post-funeral services. Request an itemised quotation before confirming.

Can the funeral be personalised?

Yes. Subject to religious and venue requirements, families may discuss music, photographs, floral themes, tributes, eulogies, audiovisual presentations and the overall style of the farewell.

Are there arrangements after the funeral?

Depending on the family’s faith and traditions, support may include urn placement, niche arrangements, prayer ceremonies and remembrance services. Estate and will matters should be handled separately with an appropriate legal professional.

These answers provide general guidance and do not replace official, medical or legal advice. Please contact Cecilia if you need help understanding the next steps.
